Original HeliCoil Plus taps are adapted for this thread system and must be used for tapping the threads. HeliCoil Plus taps can be used to create threads in Aluminum, Magnesium, Steel, Copper, Bronze, Brass and Zinc alloys. In addition, HeliCoil Plus internal thread limit gauges must be used for checking that the thread is true to gauge. HeliCoil spiral point machine taps are straight grooved have a cutting angle of 10° with curling cut. They also have a 4 action cut for through holes. HeliCoil spiral point machine taps are primarily used for through holes and can be used for blind holes only if the blind holes are drilled deep enough.
