Original HeliCoil Plus taps are adapted for this thread system and must be used for tapping the threads. HeliCoil Plus taps can be used to create threads in Aluminum, Magnesium, Steel, Copper, Bronze, Brass and Zinc alloys. In addition, HeliCoil Plus internal thread limit gauges must be used for checking that the thread is true to gauge. HeliCoil spiral point machine taps have spiral grooves of 45° with right-hand twist with a curling angle of 15°. They also have a 2-turn cut for blind holes. HeliCoil spiral flute machine taps are primarily used for blind holes and can be used for through holes as well.
