Bollhoff HeliCoil thread inserts are precision-engineered wire thread inserts designed to repair stripped threads or create high-strength, wear-resistant tapped holes in soft materials like aluminum and magnesium. Engineered from precision-rolled austenitic chrome-nickel stainless steel wire with a rhombic cross-section, these inserts distribute load and tension uniformly across each thread flank, reducing thread wear caused by frequent assembly and disassembly as well as increasing the fatigue strength of screw joints under both static and dynamic operating loads.
Bollhoff HeliCoil inserts are available in free-running or screw-lock (locking) designs.
