About HeliCoil/ArmaCoil Tang Breakers
The driving tangs of HeliCoil/ArmaCoil screw thread inserts should be removed so as to eliminate their interference with the end of the
assembled bolt. Depending on the speed at which the tangs are to be removed, a few types of HeliCoil/ArmaCoil Tang Break Off Tools
are available.
HeliCoil/ArmaCoil Tang Break Off Tools are available for use with inserts up to 1/2" and M12 in diameter. For sizes larger than these, use
long nosed pliers to remove the tang from the insert.
